Next Tamiya F1...???
Sooo, Watching the race this weekend and it occurred to me that we now have a car with a Honda engine, their last year in F1, with a Japanese driver.
Is it too soon to start getting excited about a 2021 Alpha Tauri???
Make it happen Tamiya, You know you want to!!!!!!!
The relationship with RB is already in place, Who knows!! I for one would be all in!!!

It would be great to know the production and sales figures for Tamiya’s F1 kits over the years. We are obviously a pretty biased sample of consumers, but comparisons with their other kits and products would be fascinating.

Re: Next Tamiya F1...???
I never heard of them and have absolutely interest in today's F1 so I had to do a search to see what you are talking about, That was a extremely ugly looking car with a awful livery.
But being a Honda, wouldn't it be more in the line of Ebbro instead of Tamiya?

I'd like to see "beautiful" Alpine F1 from Tamiya, with the bulky Airbox.

I seriously doubt we will see major activity from Tamiya on the F1 front. Re pop of old kits would be most likely occurrence.

Agreed...I think its unlikely that Tamiya will release new F1 kits anytime soon.

Re: Next Tamiya F1...???
That wouldn't be a bad thing either and would push the currently sometimes outrageous prices down a bit ...

Re: Next Tamiya F1...???
As far as I remember, somebody on the forum posted some numbers at some point to show that the military/aircraft numbers are way bigger in terms of production and sales, so the car department and F1 especially for tamiya seems like a niche, like only for some fans without making a margin on it.

Re: Next Tamiya F1...???
I've counted 6 wins from 2019 and 2020 by cars with Honda engines (RBR - 5, AT - 1). If there was a desire from Tamiya or Ebbro to release one of those cars, we would have heard about it by now.
Still I don't see why there is no desire. Isn't F1 still popular in Japan ? Don't they like Honda winning ? Puzzles me.
