Re: What is your latest model purchase
I got these masking tapes from Orlee in Switzerland. A range of new masking tapes. Thinner than Tamiya and comparable adhesive strength. They also fit into the Tamiya plastic protective boxes to protect them from dust. The lower three with the large diameter are flexible curb straps. They make a very good impression and are also very thin to avoid a thick paint edge. As they are rolled up on plastic rings it can be used up to the last mm. I like that better than the cardboard rolls.

Thanks to Seema for the info on the Orlee masking products. For anyone else interested, I found them here https://orlee.ch/index.php and placed an order. Beyond the tapes, they have various pre-cut masks and other products.

Re: What is your latest model purchase
I am not a regular on this thread not because I don´buy stuff, but because I dont think the things I usually buy are such remarkable. But this thime I do think it is
I am hooked on flea markets and second hand apps, you can find interesting stuff (like gpa helmets as Icon can tell you ) but this time I think I found a gem.
Under the name "toy car" (I think I came across it because it was among the stuff for sale form same seller I saw a thing of) there was this magnificent Ferrari F2004 at 1/12th scale.
The Alonsomania brought to Spain thousands (literally) of Majorette Renaults, McLarens, and NewRay or XQ Ferraris, but Schumi´s cars were never released in Spain so they are really rare, as the MP4/20 also is.
So here it is, kindly sold to me for just 12eu plus 3 for shipping. I am really happy!!!
It´s in really good state and as you see detail and shapes are quite good.
Some day I´ll repaint it and provide nice suspensions, wheels, and surely decals. Though meanwhile, it´ll look good on the shelf.

Re: What is your latest model purchase
Hi James,
Nice to see you get the F2004 in good price. I have seen this RC car couple years ago in COSTCO and the local hobby store.
Yes, I think most people see it as a toy rather than a model. I think the price was around 80 Cdn$ at the time.
