Tamiya 1/13 Lotus 78 Mk III. Picked it up off an auction site for a good price. Now to trade it for a Tamiya 1/12 Honda RA273!

Re: What is your latest model purchase
Hm, recent additions are
- a bunch of AK Xtreme metal colours and some of their weathering effects for ships, planes and other stuff, plus a batch of thinner, basecoat and primers
- a Sparmax gp-850 airbrush (0.5mm)
- the new 1/72 Revell (Star Wars) Razor Crest (05781) from the Mandalorian
- the new 1/48 Revell SR-71 Blackbird (04967 - the Euro kit with the extra engines for the display stand)
- an Ender 3 V2 filament printer with the CR touch auto levelling kit + 1kg each of white and black filament. After running it almost non-stop through the weekend, I have made plans for an enclosure with added sound deadening. I'll need to get some wood and the sound deadening foam tomorrow in order to build it this week. When done, I'll have to print the final missing piece for my paint booth - the adaptor for the extractor tubing to go through the window. First, however, I need to draw that in a 3D-tool.

Still bought the Revell re edition of U96 kit in 1:144 with all etched sets from rcsubs, amazing how much etched parts are included in these detail sets!
The Revell kits is .......... lets say hard to believe! I have not bought a Revell kit for decades cause i knew they where bad quality, but this kit stunn`s me when i opened it and had a look at the parts, simply terrible!
Maybe i build too much Tamiya kits, they do not have such issues. Lot`s of corrections have to be done, i will have to order some Archer stuff to make it look more scale.
This build will be a challange, but it was the only option around. The 1:72 version is to big for me to display it when done, has lots of detail sets as option, but i decided to go for the 144 version which is about 45cm long, enough to me.
Maybe i will do a diorama, a dry dock scene, but not sure. A waterline model is also an option, not sure which way i will go. The other question is, will i go for the movie version or the historic real U96. Some 3D printed stuff will be done for sure, the board canon from the kit is a joke!
