Well, let me tell you, this week was expensive. With FOMO settling in, I felt compelled to finally complete my 1/12 MFH Porsche 917 collection with the 3 missing pieces before they become completely unavailable.

MFH K609 - 917K #22 Le Mans Winner 1971
MFH K673 - 917/20 #23 Le Mans 1971
MFH K649 - 917/30 #6 Mark Donohue 1973
The #22 arrived this past Wednesday and the bottom made it home today.

Other recent purchases (Optivisor, lots of things for dioramas) and something or two plane wise (1/16 Hasegawa Wright Flyer 1903, not pictured the 1/16 Sopwith Camel), an in progress 1/2700 Star Destroyer and a WW1 diorama (behind glass).

The thing on the right, obviously. It looks tiny compared to the 1/8 monster on the left that is the Rosso 643 WRX I have "built" as a late teen some time in the mid nineties. The 1/12 908/3 is Version A (K725) and is going to end up as the Elford / Hermann #20 Targa car.

And can I just say that I am impressed with the new packaging MFH has done? I haven't checked on the cardboard box with the WM stuff inside, but the bigger body parts, wheels and things were packaged using larger sized bubble wrap. So they should be ok. Dreading opening the frame box though ;). Anyway, when have they started doing that? I believe the 1970 917ks were still of the old package design. The 1971 917K, 917/20 and the 917/30 were all packaged in the new box design.

RE: the space 1999 gadgets. It's funny what back in the day was considered "future" stuff. An old touchtone telephone pad and a rivetgun handle put in a new edgy and boxy device. Revisiting old time's vision of the future and looking around now at what the future (=now) actually looks like is a bit disappointing really :P
