Alfa Romeo Racing C41 (Synapse Model) 1/20

Post by steinietrabi »

1/20 scale curbside model of the Alfa Romeo Racing C41 (2021)

The kit is a classic multimedia or 3D printed kit as known from NewScratch.
Lots of 3D printed parts, metal rods, satin ribbon, mirror sticker, decals and masking sheet...

The fit between the components is extremely precise and the details are overwhelming.

Here are a few impressions of the first assembly of the parts without gluing. And a few pictures of the details.

And some more pictures...

The set was packaged very well, only a small, very thin lip was broken on the floor, which I could easily replace with a piece of styrene.

All in all a mega kit and I hope that there may be other models from the manufacturer.
As far as I know, the edition is limited to less than 30 pieces and was sold out in a few hours.

Looks very nice indeed.
I have my opinion about the brand, but the model looks good, I must say.

How do you mean? Do you know the brand and the owner?

You and others have posted models from Newscratch for a while now :)
I don't know the owner, I just feel that charging 250+ for a 1/20 scale model, AND having it limited edition to 30 pieces to drive up demand is a naughty tactic.

The reason is different I think in terms of the limited number of models made.
Similar or the same as with my models themselves, the effort to create your own kit is very high and I know in this case the creator also prints everything himself.
So I can understand that there is no unlimited supply. And not comparing it to Newscratch - Perhaps I was wrong in making that comparison - I was more concerned with the model itself.

As far as the price is concerned, I can only say that it was definitely below the 250€ mark.

OK, in that case I would have been interested, had I known about the kit. :)
Especially if it came with "88" numbers.
But I am not going to go nuts in following facebooks, twitters and what other media someone decides to launch and sell everything on.

But if you are happy with it, then that is what is important. It looks like a nice model.

Just saw the review on a Japanese YouTube channel, very impressive indeed!

So....just to be aware of it next time...where do I need to queue or sign for buying it? Anyone can provide a link or is it by invitation ?

Regards!
