Re: Red Bull RB16B New Scratch Turkey GP Round16
I just saw it on buyee.
Its probably a nice kit, but the price is crazy.
I had hoped the appearance of 3D would mean more models, and they would be more accurate and affordable.

The price in the auction is well above the usual price (more than double).
But that’s because of the fact that it is so rare. And will not be offered for the normal sells.
I have to disagree with you about the accuracy, I wouldn't say that. 3D printed models can also be very precise and the NewScratch models are already very good models. Some things could be improved, but sometimes you just have to make compromises if you want to send the sets. I speak from experience

Sorry, I was writing when watching the quali and I got distracted.
I meant to add that only accuracy and kit choice has arrived.
Because you are correct, with 3D modeling, the accuracy has improved, such as the 3D resin masters of MFH and others as well as pure 3d models.

No, nothing new from the land of the rising sun.
At the moment I only know the "announcement pictures" for the W12.
But I know from good experience over the last few weeks that there are always only a small number of white bulls.
I have already organized quite a few for various friends and the pre-order time is always short because it is always sold out very quickly and the current waiting time is also felt to be at least 4-6 weeks. However, the demand is still unbroken. So I'm not so sure if they currently have the capacity to release another kit.

So, other than decals and tires what other differences are there to the normal livery??
Just wondering if I should get a second White Bull and do a decal conversion.

There are several changes on the car/bodywork from race to race, hard to see when you don`t know what they changed, but the car had lots of changes during the season, allmost every race was different.
Kit is looking nice, especially the tires looking great!
Since i got a set from my buddy gp-models i became a fan of 3D printed tires cause i never have seen such detailed tires before. I know you designed them, awesome job Thomas!
Like this livery with white as base color, only sad point is the low number of models and the price. Not to missunderstand, the kit is surely worth it!

The tires are not really great and I have already made myself replacements.Inuyasha wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 8:12 pm Kit is looking nice, especially the tires looking great!

Although I currently tend to create the tires as a used tread version, or have already created them.
Some of the kit tires are printed very poorly and the profile is also incorrect.
Kit tires:
New Tires:
Used tread look:
I have already created a few more parts for detailing - for example the steering wheel and also the exhaust system.
The rear is kept very thick as a whole and I wanted to change that, so I needed some new parts here to fill the gap at the front.
I'll attach some pictures so you know what I mean
Steering wheel:
Rear end of the engine cover:

That's absolutely correct, after the Turkish GP the front brake ventilation was changed again, and the underbody was changed.
The rear wing is also slightly different.
All things that you could see because they are also shown very well on the model.
Therefore, it can still mean a little work here, possibly also modified PE parts.
