Couple of Revell kits in progress.
So....... I finally had enough courage to post in here.
As you can see I'm a newbie on this forum, just like my modeling skills.
I'm a huge F1 fan and I have always collected die-cast f1 models.
But in those 3 years that I've been visiting f1m, my hands really started to itch.
So I decided to build my own models.
This is my second f1 kit i have ever made. Don't be frightened, im a beginner.
(the first one i kinda screwed up with my clumsy hands )

( yes i know some of the bridgestone decals are pointing into the wrong direction )
I bought a second f2003-ga kit to use it for the screwed up decals and parts. The leftovers were enough to build a complete f1 car. So I came up with the idea to
take off all those little winglets and flaps and build a standard f1 car (sort of a imaginary
ferrari testcar). I have only primed and sand the body atm. Now i have to improvise further on.

My friend came up with the idea to create the radical splitted FIA rear wing on this test car. Any suggestions how i can make those four rear wing endplates?
And should I cover the body with cf?
Other revell kits in progress are (left>right):imaginary f1 car, f310b, f2005 and mp4/20.

I'm really sorry for these crappy pictures. When ill get a decent camera ill post better pics asap.

David,
Welcome to the asylum. You''l get all the help you'll ever need from the maniacs on this list. Speaking of help,I know a few model building wackos on this list that can use some help!! Have a good time building your kits. It's a great release from the everyday bullshit.

the mac looks great. looking forward to the new camera!
David,
Welcome to forum.
The models look fine. Never be embarressed about your builds. We get all kind of skill levels on here. I'd never build another one if I had to get results like some of the Master Builders on here. The main thing is to enjoy it!
As for the end plates for your imaginary car (great idea) get down to your local model shop and buy some styrene sheet. You can cut that to shape with a craft knife.
Cheers,
Andy.

Thanks for the tips and all the kind words,
Short time after the start of this topic I stopped modeling, because i had lack of inspiration.
But after several months when the f1 season started, I decided to concentrate on 1 car, the ficticious f1 car.
I can't handle doing 4 kits at the same time, all those parts made me go crazy :S
I bought a styrene sheet last week and before i knew, someone had to stop me.
and after a few days and damaged fingertops i've made the complete rearwing.
I've filled the sidepod opening, and attached a piece of plastic just behind the engine air intake.
The front wring has been modified by the fia rules, i thought it would be cool to give it a spoonshape.

The bargeboard has been cut out into something similar ferrari are using now, hehe

somehow that raised part on the engine cover reminds me of an A1GP car xD

next step is to prime the body grey because the final color will be black with CF , ferrari test car.
(yeah i've gone mad as you guys think it's because of all those paint and solvent fumes lol)
enjoy the weird stuff,
ps: really sorry about the pic quality but ill still have to do it with this sucky cam.
