Racerray,
I believe Tamiya (not Taniya :) ) can get such an access for money and
under some sort of non-disclosure agreement with the team. They've
done it number of times recently - MP4/13, F2000/2001, FW24. It still
boils down to money. There is not point to invest money into photos and
tooling if subject will not sell well. And that's probably the case
with recent Tamiya's F1 models. As it was said Tamiya is in business
of making big bucks and that's why they don't make F1 kits anymore.
Racerray wrote:These are the images that Taniya would have to take in order to do a tooling for a F1 model , Does anyone beleive that a F1 team would allow someone to come to take images of there car . That why i think we won`t see any new F1 models from Tamiya .

Great Images

Incredibly useful pictures Andy. Thank you for sharing them with us all - it's going to help a good number of us complete the various releases with more confidence.

Three cheers and all that!

Andy
Thanks very much too. How did i not see this yet....have to dig the forum more when i have time:-)
These pictures are indee so helpful especially since this car will surely never show up in Goodwood or another event for obvious reasons so i thought this model would have to stay without real detail....sadly!
Do you have any plan to include this car in a future book ( i guess that would be tha far future....:-) ) If not really consider doing a CD like SMS. I wouldn't even bother about a nice menue...just the pictures! If the model is really that good already ( don't have mine yet ) it cries for more detail and that would only be possible with more pictures like the ones you posted here!

Cheers

Bring them on ! I also have something for FW15 and "forgotten" FW18/FW19 champions too.
FW18/FW19 1/20 kits are still very rare.

Andy, FW16 brakes refs ?

Post by lezdep »

Andy,

Do you have pictures for brake hubs, rotors and calipers of FW16 ?
Front and rear, please, if possible. If you can also provide similar
pictures for FW18/FW19 it would be great. Thanks in advance.

This is all I can supply for now. I keep all of my professionally scanned discs in my safety deposit box. Hopefully this will help for now. Hopefully my scanner is acceptable as well.

First 9 images are from Senna's original 16A. The last three are from Hill's late season 16B. Final brake images are from hi res scans left over from the 15C.

And a couple just for memories.
