I think then you really have to think about a version that you create with a moldIcon_Modeler wrote: ↑Mon Nov 08, 2021 8:53 pm If you make the sidewalls seperate pieces thus making the completed tire from three parts then you can add the sidewall details without worry of the supports. Ask me how I know this:):):)

I also think that the advantage of a printed tire against a casted one is that there is no gluing needed. It's one piece and there is no sanding needed.

Re: 1:12 replacement tires for Tamiya
I agree on the comparsion between a casted and a printed tire, the printed version is not that troublesome finaly and has fine details. Also the mass with molds etc is no more, only the time for producing a set is much higher caused by the process itself.
So far this was the best solution to find a replacement which is hardly missed for so long.
Now on to the list of wet races for the 3 seasons.
In 1990 we had wet conditions in the USA old wet design), Brazil (old wet design) and Canada (old wet design), alll others have been in dry conditions.
In 1991 we had wet conditions in Brazil (old wet design), San Marino (old wet design), Mexico (old wet design), UK (old wet design) and finaly Australia with the new wet design. All others had dry conditions.
In 1992 we had wet conditions in Spain (new wet design), France (new wet design), UK (new wet design), Belgium (new wet design), all others had dry conditions but maybe South africa had also wet conditions. Seen such picture but not absolutely sure.
I will post some more pictures soon, maybe with a junk model as base to put them on to give you a feeling on how it looks like. The model itself is a disaster, but good enough to show the proportions.
Edit: To explain a bit further, the races with wet conditions have not all been the race itself, sometimes it was wet in practice and dry at race, so watch out for the specific day.

Great idea with the rain tires. Mine are all okay but I would like to order a set of second generation rain tires for the Williams. I like this asymmetrical profile very much.

Thank you "GPS-Modelle" for the quick feedback. I'm looking forward to pictures with the tires fitted.

Yes, the price will be 40€ for the slick tires and 45 for the rain versions. There will be a discount if someone wants more then 1 set.
Pictures will follow tomorrow and a few more details.

As Seema said, it was really a great idea make the rain tires!
I'd like to order a set of second generation rain tires, too.
Many thanks!
