CK wrote: Fri Jul 09, 2021 1:37 pm According to FIA 2021 technical regulations (section 12), the diameter of the rim lip is 358 mm, approx. 14" (17.9 mm in 1/20). The outer diameter of wheel (tire) is 670 mm maximum for dry tires and 680 mm for wet tires. The maximum width of the wheel is between 370 mm and 385 mm for front wheel and 455 mm and 470 mm for rear wheel.

From Pirelli's website:
Green wet: front: 305/675-13, rear 405/675-13
Blue wet: front: 305/680-13, rear 405/680-13

The width specified is the tread width only.

So in 1/20, the dry tire diameter should be 33.5 mm. The front tire width is between 18.5 mm and 19.25 with tread width at 15.25 mm. The rear tire width is between 22.75 and 23.5 mm with tread width at 20.25 mm.
Thank you for summarizing the data!
As always, you are mega and mega fast ...
I measured the tires again and everything is as described - well, not quite, I'm at 33.55mm

Hi Thomas,

Quickly sand the tires down! Otherwise, FIA will disqualify your car

I have the data readily on hand as I was looking into doing a W11. The tire specifications are the same for 2020 and 2021. The FIA technical regulations is not that easy to read :D

I was checking the dimension of the 3D model with the values written above.
The model is 1/20 I suppose...
I measured the 3D on the screen.
Tire outer diameter is 35.5, not 33.5 mm.
Moreover, the wheel diameter is a lot more than 17.9mm.
It is 21.2mm.
Like 16.5" in real world.
Widht is good, 22.8 mm.

Do you de-scaled to have a smaller diameter?
I am worried about the whole car now :)

The car is scale 1/18 (but I have scaled all models slightly differently and based myself on the tires - if I put them all next to each other, it looks very good so far).
But you have to know the whole model is designed by photos (prelunch) and without any other 3D data in the beginning of this year.
Did you received my PM?
