3d Printing: Porsche 917/10 in 1/12 scale

Post by capri-schorsch »

Hello,
now i finally got all parts ready.
It took me a while to find the best solution of printing the parts in the right direction with the best support settings.
And than i had to re-design some parts for a better fitment.

But now i got my curbside kit ready and i also made a 1/24 slotcar kit and soon there will be a 1/24 curbside kit of the Porsche.

Here are some pics and an overview of all the parts i made for it.

The body and the chassis are made of 2 pieces. There are two bolts on each part which can be used for glueing the parts together.
There are also some mounting pins for the body and the rear engine frame for a better fitment.
Michael made an superb decal sheet for it and he got some other liverys on his computer.

Hope you like my work and i hope i can find sometime for building in the next weeks.
If someone is interested in an Porsche just sent me a message.
I need round about one week for printing all parts of this kit.

My special price for board members are 160€ plus shipping.
I got 1 decal sheet here that can be ordered with it.The sheet cost is 45€.

Thanks for watching.

regards Christian

Christian, that is magnificent work! Can I include them in my 917 kit list, or do you want to stay 'under the radar' so to speak? If yes, under the Mezzo Mix Models name?

Thanks for the fast reply! The list has been updated.

It's exciting to add the first 3D resin printed models, I'm fiddling with 3D design and 3D printing too. But it also makes me a bit sad to see that you stopped casting parts. Sure it's messy, but I love the variety and possibilities that it created for us modelers. It's dear to me.

I'm really looking forward to the pictures :D

It would definitely be a kit that I would buy, unfortunately not quite what I usually build, but it looks really interesting and is definitely a lot of fun.
