Incredible work! You should be a 1:1 engine designer.

Re: 1/6 Porsche 917 Engine Full Detail
Hi and thanks a lot for your nice comments
The BOSCH MFI is (almost) finished now ... consisting of more than 250 individual parts. Still waiting for the two BOSCH type plates from the decal printer but the assembly as such is done. I've decided to keep one side open in order to show the internal structure and pistons.
CAD construction:
Camshaft and pulley:
Camshaft ready to be installed along with piston parts (12 ea):
Finished MFI (BOSCH type plates to be added later):
The 1:8 version will have the same level of details and is currently in the assembly process. I may think about to build the IXO 917K in which I could install my 1:8 scale engine (+ other new stuff).
BR, Uli

The camshaft itself is a mastermodel on it`s own, amazing work Uli!
Take a stand!

Re: 1/6 Porsche 917 Engine Full Detail
Hold on, the fuel pump has more parts than most entire (plastic)kits?
This build is really something else!
I'm not even sure, if the real pump has a lot of parts more than that...

Hi, after a longer break, here we go with an progress update

Installation of intake trumpets started:
Left side assemblies of the engine block finished. Ready to be mounted later on the display installation:
The main engine parts are closed to get finished. Transmission will be next and design of a 1:4 version of the engine has started.
Thanks for watching

Wahnsinn!
Mind blowing - especially when i see the "details" on the scale 1/8 ixo "modelkit" - more like a toy as a replica - of the 917.
