“FORGETABOUTIT”
Go ahead, say it, it’s meant to be a high honor. Amazing stuff, Uli.

Thanks, guys
there was a question on the thickness of the cylinder fins in 1:12. The answer is 0.175 mm

I'd be interested in purchasing 1/8 scale; add IXO to the 1/18 Porsche 917 model list, it will be able in subscription form around April -the#20 McQueen Leamsn car-no doubt the #23 Salzberg Lemans winner will be released eventually ........

Hello. Excellent project. I notice that in the first post, you show the raw 3D prints of the crankcase halves with the support structures. They are printed at an angle. I am wondering why they are printed at such an angle?

Eagle, thx for your interest in the 1/8. However 1:12 will be the smallest scale for this project. In 1/18 there would be too many trade offs in terms of accuracy and details
Regarding the question on the print angle of the crankcase parts, The 1:6 parts are large and need to fit on the printer platform (Anycubic Mono SE) and a angle >30 degree anyway helps in terms of print quality

ALways amazing to follow your build but this looks epic!
What printer are you using? I really want to start looking in learning the 3D-CAD design for some of my project...
