You could market those resin trumpets, cooling fan, housing and Bosch decals to IXO kit builders like myself [hint, hint]

regarding the IXO kit, I'm working on this as well. The IXO engine will go to the "waste bin" and replaced completely by my own design and that's just the starting point Whether I will offer parts for sale is not decided yet but might be possible

Hi,
design and prototype parts for the IXO replacement engine are done on my side Overview about the main parts are shown below. Additionally there are hundreds of parts for the auxiliaries . The design is multi material consisting of 3D printed, etched, machined parts plus decals. The "curbside" level of detail is the same as for the 1:6 model
Test assembly WIP:

Uli,
this is insane! - the good way.
Next stop: casting the parts from magnesium, aluminium, etc and use "scale" fuel to fire it up.

Looks stunning so far on the IXO upgrade; there's so much that needs to be upgraded on the partowrks engine that I completely understand to just do the entire power plant-I'd love to have your engine pieces for a display alongside the IXO model, I hope you decide to release a few of these to us craving modelists..............

The 1:8 "replacement engine" for the IXO 917K is taking shape. Assembly of the main engine block is almost done. Doesn't look like a toy anymore

Wow; HUGE difference in your expertise and the kit engine, which didn't look all that bad....until your comparison! Now I just want to throw the kit engine away [if you decide to make yours available.]
