Hi !

a quick update on the engine. Slow progress due to other (side) projects but now focus is again on this build.

Pistons and rods are finished. Pistons include machined bushings, piston rings and the oil scraper ring. Rods are attached to the piston via a machined pin:

Rods are mounted to crankshaft and installed in crankcase right half:

Cylinders with machined liners installed on both banks. A few cylinder heads temporarily installed on cylinders for test reasons:

Currently, I'm working on the intake/exhaust valves, the cam drive gears and the camshafts, which will be the topic of my next update.

Best regards,
Uli

Great work! Just wondering if consideration for any kits will have a 'curbside' option that won't have the crank, pistons, cams, etc.?

Thanks a lot for your nice comments. Love to hear you love it :-)

Regarding curbside kit options, I indeed plan curbside versions in 1:8 and 1:12 (to fit the MFH kits). Focus will be on the naturally aspirated versions. I'm not sure yet, If there will be a turbo version as well ... we'll see

Wow. Again and again and again I'm sitting here drooling with every new update. I think curbside versions will be a welcome addition but of course a complete edition to display the engine outside the car in the same fashion they have shown the /30 engine at the museum is also welcome. :)
Cheers,
Roman
