Simply amazing. What more can one say. That transmission looks 1:1 scale.

Great cinema, the frame alone is a work of art. I'm always happy when your contribution is at the top.

Thank you very much for your nice comments
The 1:8 version is nearing completion. Transmission, mounting plates for the half-shafts, starter motor and exhaust pipes are assembled and "married" to the engine block.
Intake trumpets, fuel pipes and ignition wires and spark plugs will be next. ... and I've started the production of the kit parts
BR,
Uli

Re: 1/6 Porsche 917 Engine Full Detail
Thanks folks
... started to install the fuel lines. I've measured the original diameter (= 6mm) of the fuel lines on a 917 exhibited at the Porsche Museum. In 1:8 scale = 0.75mm. Difficult to find a silicone tube with that diameter and the right color on the market. The MFH P-975 silicone tube is a perfect match in terms of true-to-scale but a bit yellowish. Nonetheless it fits perfectly true-to-scale so I've decided to use it.
Next come the ignition cables and the engine stand and then the test build of the engine kit is successfully finished.
BR, Uli
