Hi,
beside my current project, the lotus 72 in 1/8, i got a new one.
I try to build an Zakspeed turbo capri in 1/12 scale.
This got a reason. When i was a little boy of 11 years,we went to hockenheim to the jim-clark memory race at 1982.
There i saw the capri and i was able to sit in one.
That was an awesome memory in my mind.
A few days ago,i found the old pictures and i know what i have to do.
I got an friend who will help me with this project. Its the master of capri modelling,in my eyes,el modello (Kurtl) from austria.
Here is his amazing capri build.

So i got this idea in my mind, but i dont know how i can make it?
First step was to digitize the tamiya 1/24 scale capri.
So i was able to make cuts through the body where i needed it.
This cuts where resized and printed.
Than i glued it to an 4mm thick material named "Ureol".
Next step was to cut it out,and use an beltsander to make the shape of the body.
Cuts in direction x
and here in direction y
And this is the next step, put it all together.
So it looks like today.Next will be some little changes to the cuts and after that,i will glue them together with 2k putty.
Kind Regards
Christian
