Are you happy with it ? I currently run my second Anycubic Photon because the first one simply "died" for no reason :)
It's amazing but slow.
The new anycubic Photon Mono generation have much more lifetime, about 2000hr??, maybe?
and are very fast.

Mike
The Mono is really high of my "must-have-list" :) but wans't availalbe when I bought my second Photon.

Hi Thomas
  • Did you make the CAD files from scratch?
  • What program did you use?
  • Do you design 1:1 scale then drop down to 1:20 or 1:12 as needed?
Are the CAD files easily available for guys to make on their own printers?

Those painted parts look awesome!

Yes, I completely rebuilt the parts myself.

I use a simple free CAD program - FreeCAD for most of the parts.

Yes, my first construction of the fittings was based on a 1:1 model. However, not all details can be partially implemented 1:1, so I basically recreated the current version on a scale of 1:20 and can scale it as desired. However, from a certain size it becomes difficult to reduce further!

I've been doing a few things in 1/43 lately, but of course it's better to deal with the size and detail yourself and create a data set for this purpose only.
1/43 won't be as detailed as 1/12 or larger...

I am reluctant to give out the data because there is a lot of knock-how behind it...
But I can give you a few tips if there are any questions.
But I notice more and more that there are a lot more people here who deal with the topic and also create parts themselves.

I've also infected people lately and they are now printing or making parts themselves!

And thanks for the flowers!

Wow, totally missed this. That thing looks sweet. The price is up a ways from the old Photon, but then it looks like they have the Z-rail replacement already included. So that's at least a 100€ on top of the old Photon price, as you would get that part from the UK anyway. Oh and the build envelope is much larger (almost double everything) which is also a very welcome addition. DPI remains about the same as before.
Cheers,
Roman

Hi. I saw your 3D brake. She is really very good. I beg you, if you would like to print in 1/12 scale in the future, I would be interested in three sets.

Steinietrabi, any chance you would be willing to sell a copy of the STL files for the fittings? I just got a Photon and am working on a Lotus 78 and want to add plumbing, but would rather print the fitting over buying.

I don't actually share the STL data. But if you just need a special shape, I am sure to find a solution. Just PM me if you want.
