Historic GP Zandvoort...your opinion

Post by daniel »

One thing first...Ireally don't want to start a discussion about Covid19 or any views on it !!!!

I'm thinking about visiting the Historic GP in Zandvoort and stay in an airbnb.
So my question is to other people attending and especially modeling friends from the netherlands.
I've read that they only sell very few tickets...does someone know the exact number. For example they sold 5000 at the Oldtimer GP Nürburgring this year. I would say the OGP is roughly double the size of zandvoort. And 5000 is around 1/10th of the usually sold tickets.

I didn't go to the OGP because paddocks were closed but Zandvoort should be open !?. I wouldn't go for "only" the races because it's roughly a 300km drive one direction and I really enjoy looking at the cars in the paddock especially on friday evening.

So if someone knows more than me...should I go becasue it will be great and the crowd will be small because I want to take the whole Covid19 situation very serious and I will probably wear a mask...safety first here !

It does not need to become a "Covidiscussion". :D
If number of tickets is reasonably small, distanceand masks are used, etc, it doesn't have to be more dangerous that doing your daily stuff. Good luck, stay safe and enjoy!!

Fritz van Eerd (Jumbo man) and his friends used to make some demos years ago at this event if I remember well, don’t see it this time. Too bad as the guy must have the biggest running collection of modern F1 cars in the world. Last time I had a look on youtube he had brought a MP4/6 and a Fw14B to make some runs

Very nice event. I went there a couple of times.
I made some great pictures of the historic cars.

Tickets are very limited this year, but it's not been communicated how many.
You cannot buy weekend tickets this time.
So you need to buy multiple tickets for multiple days.
