Re: 1/12 MFH July 2022 news
Likely it is one of the AU cars.. C or D type...
Fun thing - I wanted to check my archives as I had taken pics of the car in the factory museum a few years back. And I think I remember they had the engine outside as well. But I kept checking the oil sumps of various engines and neither matched so I went into the obscure one off British cars (Vanwall, Connaught, ...). I remember checking the engine blocks of the AU and of course of the W25 and W125 as well, but neither matched that second pic.'
Only later did I think about the cooling fins on a gearbox housing as what is being shown. PUNKED!
Nicely done, Mr. Hiro, kudos.

Re: 1/12 MFH July 2022 news
The V12 of the D had 3 camshafts instead of the single central one on the V16 in the C, 1 central for intakes of both banks and one for each exhaust, therefore did not have the pushrods in the tubes going to the cylinderheads which can be seen in MFH's pic as well as yours from the Museum on the V16
But I'm really curious where they did gather all their information, because there is just not a lot of material on that cars available anymore and secondly because no 2 cars were ever the same during that period

That should be a good seller as everyone loves the Nazi government cars as they drove manufactures in Germany to much higher technical aspirations.

Re: 1/12 MFH July 2022 news
I've got a real problem with building a model of a car developed under the Nazis. Also, there seems to be little in the design that would be usable in future offerings.
The early guess of a supercharged pre-war MG was more hopeful but was not to be.

I am very far from the nazi ideas, but love the German GP cars of pre war. Don't see any incompatibility. A car is only an object and the engineers that created those were not politicians
