Sauber Alfa.. I like the old style Alfa Romeo writing on the side. Paint is ok, but unless they start doing better it is a waste of money.

Is that real or a joke with the umm "thang" behind the front wheels? Kinda reminds me of a triplane - only like 4 or 5 times the wings.
Cheers,

It's an aero rake, aka airflow sensor. They'be been using them for years in testing.

Je ne regrette rien.

That merc is quite interesting - and the right colour.
Who knows if we’ll get kits this year, but that would be an interesting project.

BTW... case no one noticed, there´s another hint to yesteryear on the Ferrari 2022 colors.

and this one from f1i dot com

It also looks like a tibute to Didier, 40 yeras after "that" season.
It´d be really nice if they looked for some way to remember Gilles too...

BTW...

Am I the only one who thinks the Ferraris would look much better with white numbers (besides, they'd be visible!!!) and some small sponsor on the black wings?

Yes, white numbers would be much easier to see. I don't mind the plain black wings, but I am shocked that they are bare, with the World Branding Championship being so important. I am also firmly on the side of gloss paint. Perhaps we should conduct a poll just to see how the numbers fall on this issue.

I thought the same! :D maybe something can be done, though I doubt they will listen  The matt-satin is not bad for some vehicles-liveries-colors. It gives nice results in MotoGP as the surface is smaller, they change angle all the time and so the reflections are not jeopardizing visibility all the time. It works fine with Red Bull, not sure why. Maybe because its a simple livery. Though for instance, gloss was nice on last year´s Merc, as the "flash on the pan" effect gave live to the car.
In this year´s Ferrari, the combination of satin and a darker red makes a maroon result.
Same way that rocket M boro red gave a normal red on the TV, you always see darker. Satin was not terrible with last year´s lighter red.
I also find it strange the space is not made profit of. Same as 2005´s McLarens, which had bare rear wings when they could have put West there...
