2022 F1 Team CARS presentation
Re: 2022 F1 Team CARS presentation
Well spotted!!!
BTW, I have the impression that the reason the wheels don´t look that starnge is that now the rubber diameter is also bigger, so the visual impression is that they are 14 or 15", not 18.
Besides, they make the wheelbase look smaller.
In the end is what I said some years ago, and now with the wheels it s almost complete: it´s as if we took a 1/18 car and you use it as a nowadays 1/20
Nice Williams, though I expected something REALLY "more Wiliams"

Re: 2022 F1 Team CARS presentation
Two or three Ferrari pics have (supposedly!!!) been leaked before the official launch.
It´ll be interesting to see if it was really a leak or just fakes...

Pics are supplied by GPBLOG, reproduced here for information purposes
If they are fine, I´d really like the pre-2000 approach of red body, black CF wings. It´d also help disguise the "CARS" shapes of wings...
PS.
BTW, it does remond me of those indycars of early 2000s...

With those tall, small sidepod inlets...

Looks like a render over the aston..?
Re: 2022 F1 Team CARS presentation
Nooooo wayyy !! It´s quite different. No (significant!) undercuts on the Ferrari, different air intakes, both radiator and engine, block square sidepods.... the only common thing would be the gills IMHO

So images were real!! Honestly I like it very much. It has some vintage / retro air to it...

The 2022 cars are so much better looking that the 2021 cars. They don't even look like they came from the same race series. They even made the Halo look pretty good now. And they also sound better. I found it hard to look at the 2021 cars they were so ugly.

Somebody should get fired at Ferrari, unless they were "approved by Ferrari leaked photos"
Re: 2022 F1 Team CARS presentation
Very aggressive look, wonderful to see a new Ferrari design wrapped in 80's inspired red-and-black livery. Since 2017 Ferrari was recycling the same general layout, so the new rules came in good time to shake it all. Also, it's good to see that teams are really looking for visually different solutions inside such a restritive set of rules, and so we'll not have a spec-series at all.

It looks good!
How fast it will be, I have no idea, but at least it will make a nice model.

It's good to see F1 is back making good looking cars again. Now if we could only stop all the politics and crying!!
