Checo to Red Bull?

Post by MoFo »

Report from a Dutch paper, so... grain of salt. Would be pretty great for him if true, though. (though I'd be sad to see Albon go)

Je ne regrette rien.

It has been confirmed today. Good for Checo to prove his talents. Also for the RBR team to score more secondary points and being a lot closer to Max. Hopefully Checo can challenge for wins as well.

As for Albon, it might be a break for him to regroup. The 2022 market might be heat up if Ocon continues to struggle against Fernando at Alpine in 2021. Gasly might replace him at Alpine and the Alpha Tauri seat might open up in 2022 just in case if Checo does well. Checo deserves this chance and hoping that he will take full advantage of it.

Hamilton already commented that with Perze in RB will give Mercedes a bigger challenge and headache next season.

This will give us some more excitement rather than another year with Mercedes running away.

Hamilton will win #8 without too much of a headache. Merc is a machine that is unstoppable at the moment. I don’t think it will matter who is in the second RBR seat with a lame duck motor. But happy to see Perez get a seat.
