NEW MFH 1/12 (1956 Lancia D50) for March 2017

Wohoo, let the guessing game begin. A new 1/12 model has been announced in 4 versions for March 2017. It comes with wire wheels and a 2-pronged knockoff I'm hitting the obvious.. it's from pre 1970, could be anything from an open top F1 to sportscar http://www.modelfactoryhiro.com/new/en/archives/23...

Re: Adventures in soldering: The GT40 project Weber carb 2/2

In case you're going to do a couple Webers in 1/12. Sign me up for a batch. Other than that I've run out of things to say to this. Mesmerizing. And sometimes I look at my 1/12 stuff and think "gee, that's tiny" and then I think of this thread. Utterly bewildering what you are achieving wit...

Re: 1/12 Matra MS11

Hi everybody, Today I improvised the hoses connected to and around the fuel filter. It's very hard to keep the standard up, voices in my head are screaming "let's get it done now! finish it!" for a few weeks now. With this done, only one major task to do: electric parts and wire...

Re: What is your latest model purchase

A couple of books on my babies (M23, Lola T70, Lotus 49) and some goodies I got for relatively
cheap - the Chevron M23 transkit and the Lotus 49B with the battery box cockpit floor, sigh.

Re: MFH (Ejan) DFV engine re-release

Hi Joe,

cheers for the info, will try. As far as I remember looking through Hiro's pages it said "discontinued" which
is why I rejoiced at the thought of a re-release (that didn't happen).

Re: 1/12 Mfh Porsche 917 colour?

Yep, that's the thing. In all honesty we can't trust old photographs anyway. As far as I remember from my pre-digital photography days the individual papers / brands had an influence on the colour balance as well. I believe Kodak had some sort of a slight bias towards the red, Fuji towards the green...

MFH (Ejan) DFV engine re-release

Hi all, wasn't there some rumours some time late last year of a re-release of the MFH (E-Jan) DFV kit? I saw several listings for preorder, but never saw anything after that. Luckily I didn't order one. However, I scored me a new Tamiya Lotus 49b for a reasonable price, so I was thinking of trying t...

Re: MFH 1/12 Porsche 917 Hippie

That ain't no race car. It's too clean. After having seen the make-believe Martini car (it's not the original, but another 1971 LH dressed up to look like it) in it's sorry state at the Le Mans trackside museum twice... Joking aside, I love it, very cool! Can we see a WIP please, even if "after...

Re: Anyone else have this problem with his MFH 1/12 917???

I would say absolutely! And that despite all my moaning about certain issues that give me the fits (well placed pun right there). I think they are fairly good value for your money. Yes, of course, I would prefer if they were sold for less than what they are, but that would only result in me buying m...
