Re: 1/12 Mfh Porsche 917 Hippie #3

This looks wonderful - well done! It is such a wonderful colour scheme isnt it - and you have captured it just right! Am getting towards the end of the MFH 917K #20 Gulf car and cannot see how the rear bodywork will fit over the engine when the metal engine cover is placed on top of the engine. Did ...

Re: Autosport-Models.co.uk

Saw him at Scale Model World in November and in excellent spirits. I know that he and his wife often go to the Retro event in Germany which I think was last weekend so maybe he is on holiday?? Have no fear - he is a totally respectable and reliable guy (and races an historic Formula Ford car occasio...

Re: 1/12 MFH March - what could it be

Didn’t the earlier 917 kits have a major problem with fit of cylinder heads - or similar? I can’t find a WIP that says this but I am sure I read about it on F1M at some point. If I am correct, is this version likely to have the same issues - or is the engine a slightly different design? PS Jeep - I ...

Re: 1/12 MFH March - what could it be

Oh No. When I first saw the title of this thread I thought MFH had done a 1/12 March! I would love a 761 - ideally the Peterson one.

March would have been an expensive month for me if it had been the case but it looks as though my wallet is safe for another month...

Re: Alex's 1/12 MFH FW11B WIP - Updated 8/28/17

Took masses of FW11 photos and when home I will put them up. Somehow! Never done it before so any guidance welcome! They even have a FW11 tub on its own.

Have decided the Winfield colour scheme is a crime! Yuch

Re: Alex's 1/12 MFH FW11B WIP - Updated 8/28/17

I am well into my FW11b now and am at a conference at Williams’ conference centre tomorrow so am going to try and gather more close up photos - if I am allowed! Can I ask you a few quick questions; Re. the two water pipes that come out of the bottom front of the engine? The instructions have the two...

Hi Alex and thank you. Your work inspired me to buy this kit. I was tempted anyway as I was at the British Grand Prix in 1987 - still the best race I have ever attended! Got loads of photos from the FW11 at Donington if you need anything. Also am going to Williams HQ next month where they have anoth...

Re: MFH October 2017 news - full-detail 1:12 ??

Hmm - My dreams of a J191, a BT49 (or 50), RE30, FW07/08, B192-195 and so on will have to remain as dreams for a bit longer! F187/188 is a nice looking car but not one I'd buy thank goodness. Not one of the great Ferraris - didnt it have terrible fuel consumption or something like that? If MFH feel ...

Re: MFH October 2017 news - full-detail 1:12 ??

Hmm just catching up this thread. That period is right in my eyeline! The Brabham BT50 has black six spoke front wheels and used Goodyears. I think too early for Eagle logos though. Pity. Re Lotus; if its the 99t, I will pass as have done the MFH 97t last year. What a lovely car though. They had one...
