For 1k lacquer clear I use Mr Hobby GX100. Still, it has strong effects on decals, especially on those decals from European brands, since they are usually very thin. Fantastic! Really great to see lads of the F1M site can make something big really happen, even they are from different countries. This is a amazing place.

I always paint them first and then glue them together, using epoxy glue which give you time to adjust the alignment. I've seen many builders, they glue or more usually with metal kits, weld them together, with right alignments and then paint the part, I have no idea how they can paint the whole thin...
