I've had good luck with F1 Specialties CF decals - in fact I'm hoping some will be in my mailbox when I get home. The only caveat with their decals is that setting solution - at least Solvaset - stains them, so I only apply setting solution to the underside of the decals.

I built my own paint booth - plywood, 2x4s and some hinges and screws was all I used. I don't know the exact measurements, but it's a bit over 2 feet wide and probably 3.5 feet tall. I have a lazy suzan inside that I place parts on that allows me to rotate it so I can shoot the parts from all sides,...

The only big recommendation is to remove all excess material from the bottom of the monocoque...this allows you to slide the seat in after glueing the body halfs together, sorry I can't post a pic, but I believe this was featured in tamiya magazine some years ago on the first release. Take care Goo...

Let's see your Tamiya MP4/13

While I was ordering an MP4/4 (which was on sale), I saw that the MP4/13 was also on sale, and although I never had much interest in building it, I figured for $22 bucks I'll pick it up and maybe someday I'll get the urge to build it. So to inspire me, show me what you've done with that kit. Any rec...

Re: Clear coats over decals

I haven't used it myself but others have reported that future floor wax works well with my decals. But it is vital to avoid enamel as it will destroy the white printing. You might want to test some Tamiya or Testors Gloss Lacquer over your enamel paint on a test piece - it's worth a try. As for acry...

I think there is some confusion on this chassis as they think it's Joe Leonard's pole winning car. I believe that Parnelli Jones owns the real car No. 60 and it is in his collection. Paul Erlendson I believe you are correct. There were 4 Lotus 56 turbines built in all - #s 20, 30, 60 and 70 - we kn...

It wasn't in there 3 weeks ago, although a different Lotus turbine was on the grounds for the vintage car laps.
