Re: Platz Models...
I've built one of their 1/72 planes and it was a beauty of a kit.

Re: Silk Cut Jag - Tamiya vs Hasagawa
The nice thing about the rerelease of the Hasegawa Jag is it's easy to find and includes the Silk Cut decals.

Porsche 962
Hi all, Here is my latest build - the Hasegawa 1/24 Porsche 962. A fun little build, this kit was re-released midway through last year. I finished it as the Omron 962 Vern Schuppan ran with great success in Japan in 1989. This is chassis 962-008, which was earlier in life a factory Rothmans car and ...

Re: Penske PC17, AMT, 1/25
Holy cow! Paintwork is just incredible. I'm looking at this kit in the box and I'm baffled as to how you managed that. Easily one of the best 1/24/5 open wheel builds I've ever seen.

Re: Decal Disaster
I will definitely be staying away from the enamels, I cannot stand them! Thank you to everyone who replied! I neglected to mention (because I forgot) in the description that I put down TS-13 over the green and then applied decals on top of that before the final coat. It was a very thin coat but none...

Re: Decal Disaster
Thank you to everyone who replied! I neglected to mention (because I forgot) in the description that I put down TS-13 over the green and then applied decals on top of that before the final coat. It was a very thin coat but nonetheless too much for the decals! This is the first time I've had problems...
Re: BERNIE
I see parallels between Bernie's contribution to the sport and Mao's contribution to China. Their early work was crucial to creating the huge entities both F1 and China are today, but their last 20 years in power only crippled what they created. Had they gone two decades before they did, they'd be v...

Decal Disaster
Hi everyone, I have been working on Tamiya's Lotus 25 and things were going swell. That is until I applied a clearcoat. Then disaster struck! The decals shriveled up like an old prune. It was worse on the decals that were placed on top of other decals (the lotus badge in the stripe) and on the white...

Re: Tamiya 1/12 FW 14B
That's a heck of a deal - the distributor cost from Great Planes to American hobby shops is $112.
