Re: Protar Ferrari 156/85

nice to revive an old "primer bomb" kit. I will watch this come to life! Keep up the good work, it will be a nice piece on the shelf.

Re: 2022 F1 Team CARS presentation

Let's hope it is just a load of rubbish. That wing is horrible and child like. I had a 20 plus year professional career in automotive design, and this looks like the carp spewed out there by CCS or Art Center students. I hope more realism appears in the cars, and they actually DO look different. If ...

Awesome to see this operation!

I see the CAD system in Autodesk Mxxxxxxsoemthing - the images are too small to read.

Do you do the surfacing in Alias and thicken the models yourself? Do you bring in a background image or 2D prints and interpret the drawings to create the surfaces yourself?

Re: Tamiya TS sprays - Fragile?

Hi steveracer, Sorry to read about your issues. A couple of thoughts: Are you using Tamiya primer and Tamiya paint? Speaking of Tamiya paint, make sure the colour paints you're using is not from their PS range. Which type of tape are you masking with? Was the surface lightly scuffed with 600 grit s...

Re: Tamiya TS sprays - Fragile?

Tamiya has instructions for thinning their x paint - use acrylic thinner for the softer (also glossier) effect you like. Use lacquer thinner to make it harder (but less glossy). In effect you can make it into a lacquer paint using their lacquer thinner. So I painted with the TS spray. And if I want...

Re: Tamiya TS sprays - Fragile?

Steve you mentioned you were painting in your garage in some thread here. Perhaps low temperature is the issue? No temperature is not an issue - when I painted the first cars it was in my basement, and the new "paint shop" in my garage was up to 68 degreed F last night! :D TS or PS? Spray...
