Re: 2022 F1 Team CARS presentation

Very aggressive look, wonderful to see a new Ferrari design wrapped in 80's inspired red-and-black livery. Since 2017 Ferrari was recycling the same general layout, so the new rules came in good time to shake it all. Also, it's good to see that teams are really looking for visually different solutio...

Re: 2022 F1 Team CARS presentation

The Red Bull was a real showcar. There's a video of Newey talking tech generalities about 2022 around that showcar, in the RB factory. The Haas was a digital render. They say the Aston Martin today will be the first real 2022 car to be seen...

Re: 2022 F1 Team CARS presentation

Errr.... the RB18 wasn't the RB18.... it's the FIA mockup again. So frustrating!!! They say "new car launch", but it's just the "same livery as always" launch...

Re: Brabham Alfa Red

I think that if you spray Italian Red over white primer in the Ferraris, and Italian Red over gray primer in the Brabhams, there will be enough difference between the final reds. It's only a question to avoid too dark primers, like some from Gunze. But the regular Tamiya gray primer is OK to do the ...

Re: Anyone Have a List of 1/20 Kits for World Driver Champs

You're right, Tamiya's FW07 is the 1979/1980 early races car. Considering that most of the Revival kits are Metal AND Plastic, I would add to the list: 1956 # Juan Manuel Fangio (ARG) Ferrari D50 1957 # Juan Manuel Fangio (ARG) Maserati 250F 1958 # Mike Hawthorn (GBR) Ferrari 246 1961 # Phil Hill (U...

Re: My new hobby room

Very nice place, and beautiful builds. Loved the model of the house. I have here three kits on display in common with your hobby room: the FW190, the Nautilus and the Type VII. But mine are a lot smaller: 1/72, 1/350 and 1/350. I'm seriously lacking space to display my kits...

Re: Ronnie Peterson and his Lotus 72's

There's also another book on the 72 to recommend: the Haynes "Lotus 72 Owner's Shop Manual" offers good detail pictures of cars in restoration process, and an updated history of each chassis to complement the info in Oliver's book. From memory I could add that the 74 cars had new front whe...

Re: "THIS IS THE END..." of an era. What you think?

Well, my favorite F1 cars, for the looks, are the 60's "cigars with wheels" and the late 70's-early 80's wing cars, and my overall "top models" are the 640 series Ferraris and the surface-cooled BT46. But... I can't help to love F1 cars (and racing cars) of all the eras, and even...
