Re: Introducing: The Ferrari 312T4 Spotter's Guide

Great job!! This is something really helpful. My respects because of the big amount of time to collect the information. Many of the pictures are the first time I see, and are very interesting. Any chance to upload the pictures in the Gallery with better quality? It would be perfect.

Thanks a lot!!

Re: Making DFV parts on my lathe

About the clear brown tubing. I have found ref. P0975 in the MFH website. It is described as Brown Color Clear Tube for 1/12 but diameter is not related. Anybody knows?. There is another clear brown ref. P0958 but it is too thin for 1:12, 04/02 mm

Re: Project Ensign N180

In that years all cars were significantly different in the shape of the body. I would select a car with the best wheels as its something I have no chance to replicate. You can do the body parts by vacforming. One of my friends has a vacforming box and he is getting good results

Re: Making DFV parts on my lathe

Great job Howard, engine looks superb. I don't like fishing nylon to do the fuel lines. It is slightly green and I don't like the effect. Take a look over here http://www.a-msystems.com/s-57-biomedical-silicone-tubing.aspx I have not tryed yet but seems good. 0,63 mm external size means 7,62 mm in 1...

generationx wrote:The '72 book is pretty good - a very short history of the car and lots of photo's (but mostly racing shots or modern restored cars). There is no DFV Haynes Manual (yet).
It could be great if you suggest to your Haynes family an in-depth manual of the DFV. A best seller for modellers :D

Re: Hewland gearbox question

I have added a Gallery Lotus 81 1980 with the GPI pictures of the Lotus gearbox plus some other interesting shots.
James is right GPI is The Bible for the period 1979-1983. It is very easy to find at ebay. Don't doubt to buy. No better information available
