Re: 1/12 MFH February 2024
The fourth circuit is the isle of man clypse course from the late 1950's. John Surtees won there. But Silverstone and Mexico were not used for motorcycles back then. So I would assume the circuits represent the most important races in John Surtees career. A guess from me: Ferrari 158 from 1964 in re...

Re: SEASON´S GREETING MERRY XMAS 22 23
Merry christmas to all of you!
I was visiting the families, so I might be a bit late now.
When we got snow a few weeks ago, I started "dreaming of a white christmas" like Frankie. Unfortunately the snow melted, so I will have to keep dreaming for next year.

Re: Slow connection
I have the same issues.
I am using Firefox on my PC and chrome on my mobile phone. It doesn't make any difference. The time to load is very long since a few days.

Re: Looking for a Lotus 63 pic
I think the Bonnier sign wasn't made by Bonnier himself, but by the organizers of the British Grand Prix. Each car that entered the race had the name of it's driver attached somewhere. All of them in the same style. Bonnier simply put his name sign on top of the Gold Leaf sign as he was just a Lotus...

Re: Lotus 98T - Tamiya conversion
I still have the master here and could do a few more windscreens, but the next few weeks until christmas will be busy for me. So I can't promise a date right now, but of course I can start a little run. I used two different types of cf decals by Scale Motorsport on this car. The front wing was done ...

Re: Lotus 98T - Tamiya conversion
Thank you for all the nice comments! :D Davey, you are lucky. I found a few pictures I took during the build. First of all, I made a copy of the decals and printed them on Tamiya masking foil. I placed the JPS advertising around the cockpit to find out where the separationline between the bodywork a...

Yes, Davey,
it is the Lotus 98T as it was raced by Johnny Dumfries in the Australian Grand Prix 1986.

Lotus 98T - Tamiya conversion
Hi all! I got another car of the desk. And like my previous Tyrrell 026 it is another 'last car'. This time it is the Lotus 98T. The final JPS Lotus and also the last F1 car raced by Johnny Dumfries. The version I tried to replicate is the one from the Australian Grand Prix, which was the last race ...

Re: F1M Model Quiz - November 25th
Yes, you are right about the camera. The first onboard camera to provide live-feed was used in 1985. They used this type of camera until 1989, when the new shaped camera was introduced that you can find in some of Tamiya's late 80's and early 90's sets. So, we are already limited to the years betwee...

Re: F1M Model Quiz - November 25th
So it is probably to difficult this time.
Here is a hint:
The black box was attached to this particular car in just a single race. In all the other races it raced without.
This kind of device can be found on every F1 car today.
