Re: Ferrari SF71H 1/20 DTM

You are looking to make good progress on an average kit. Well done! Thank you! I think I would still consider this a very good kit, probably above the quality of any Studio27 offering. Just seems like I'm encountering natural challenges of multi-media kits. On to the update Painted! All parts that ...

Re: Japan Auctions

Big thing to remember is that if you're using Buyee, that item cost and shipping are two separate transactions. I got stung buying a kit that included shipping, as it only ships it to Buyee's location, then having to pay for it to be shipped to my house separately. Annoyingly, I wasn't able to comb...

Re: Japan Auctions

Just bought an MFH 312B and 312B2 through Buyee over the weekend, I've used it several times before as well. The bidding culture is slightly different than on eBay though. On eBay items tend to have a higher starting price for auctions (and most items are Buy It Now anyways) and no bidding activity ...

Re: Ferrari SF71H 2018 Monaco GP1/20 DTM

All right it's been almost a year now! Since the Lotus 102s are out of the way, it's time to make a push to make some big progress on the SF71H. Don't wanna fall too far behind the modern F1 kit release cycle... https://i.imgur.com/so16hLZ.jpg I mentioned having to do this in previous updates but ne...

Re: Ferrari 312 T4 MFH 1/20

Good luck, you made a great start. I remember from when I built this there was an issue with two pieces of PE that were intended for two opposite sides but two identical pieces were provided. I really can't remember what piece it was, though. With PE being flat, the issue you encountered couldn’t h...

Weathering is always a great way to add personality to a build - great job!

Re: Lotus 49 1/20 Ebbro

Thanks both of you! I have built this kit twice and loved it. You've got a great start here - very well done on getting the cowl to fit. Paint looks great and the quality of your photos are excellent! Watching with interest. Weeeell I haven't technically gotten it to fit yet . I just kinda sanded th...

Lotus 49 1/20 Ebbro

First new build of 2020, I'm building this for my father so I'm hoping this will be a smooth and quick build. I'll see if I can complete it in under a month. I intend on building the 1967 US GP spec and it'll just be an OOB build. I don't have too much to say about this kit so far. I've heard warnin...

Re: Red Bull RB15 1:20

Nice - I'm eager to start on this kit but I figure I'll wait until it gets too cold to paint. I'm also hoping that Zero Paints releases a Red Bull matte blue colour soon. What paint do you plan on using? Gravity Colours?

Re: Best of 2019

Sorry a little late to the thread but 2019 was a pretty good year for me in terms of modelling. Made vast skill improvements and managed to finish 4 even though I took a break and didn't touch anything for 6 months in the middle of the year. Hope to be more consistent in 2020 and maybe finish 5-6 mo...
