Re: Beemax McLaren 1984 MP4/2
That looks like a really nice build and good techniques that you're using there Seb. I will follow this with great interest. Beemax McLaren 1984 MP4/2
Starting a new build! The Beemax 1984 McLaren MP4/2. Initially I was planning on building Lauda's car, but in a later step, I glued on the head rest before painting the car, only realizing afterward that only Prost used the head rest. Funny, because it seems like 80% of the builds on Google Images m...

Looks nice! You should give the steamed cotton swab technic a try on the shell logos, you don`t need to cut them, working from the middle to the outsides and it lays down without wrinkels ;) I don't think I've heard of the steamed cotton swab technique! I've been working at them with a cotton swab,...

Finally! I emailed them a while back requesting this paint but I'm never sure if they take unsolicited request emails seriously. Glad this exists now

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to drop in with the lighting setup info.
This is the light I got
This is the cheap webcam with desk clamp mount I got
The arm is a little flimsy though and constantly needs re-tightening. YMMV. Hope to see everybody with enhanced lighting for their future photos now!

Great choice! I managed to build that one in about 2 weeks, great little straightforward kit with lots of opportunity for improvement should you decide to pursue greater detail.seamus wrote:Thanks everyone... next up Tamiya’s Honda RA272, back to great fitting parts and no carbon fibre, lovely
