Well....but the MP4/7 is the '92 car......so that should be before the change then!? I knew that on the '93 MP4/8 they won't fit.

RE: 1/20 Rain Tires

I'm not sure but the Modeler's rain tyres might not fit the MP4/7. They do fit the 4/4 and 4/5B but aren't the 4/7 wheels different?
I can have a look tomorrow if you want.

RE: Just proving a -casting- point...

Some thoughts on this: James...why on earth do you cast all those elements in one piece??? I second the comment about difficult painting:-) On the other hand....respect for the result! I personally don't like white metal a lot. Definitely prefer Resin for 90% of applications. Paul has a point about ...

@ Henk In the beginning there was a fire extinguisher bottle in that place ( as Gabriele's pictures show ). During the life of the 72 components were moved around the car and also the battery was positioned there. @ Gablet Thanks for these pictures. They're very nice.....but the part i'm looking for...

Lotus 72 reference request

Hi guys Can anyone help with a picture of the underside of the Lotus 72 nosecone ( preferably the Gold Leaf version but any later one should be o.k. )? The Tameo kit has a funny cutout there for the extinguisher bottle that i'm quite sure doesn't belong there. I want to correct that. The Tamiya 1:12...

I think the 1970 cars ( Gulf or the Salzburg LeMans Winner ) should be o.k. I have that project on my stash as well ( and the poster over my desk :-). I haven't yet figured out really if the engine cover needs changing or not. Also one thing i still haven't confirmed definitely are the brake discs. ...

I don't think the wheels of the Pig are too far in....i'd rather say the left rear one could be even further in! But there should be a / more surface behind the wheel inside the wheelhousing i think.
That thing is really weird in almost any way :-)

RE: porsches

Nice builds! Love the Hippie and the Pink Pig. I want those too at some point :-)
The 917/30 is a monster....but because of the turbos it's quite silent.....you just don't "hear" those 1100 horses :-)
