Re: 1/12 MFH kit June 2022

I think Ford P68, DFV, a lot of Lotus 49 bits and pieces, Girling brakes, and according to some web pages "Oversized front hubs" in case they wanted to go 4WD.

Plus it was Red and Gold!!

Re: Finally FW14B detail set

Portugal was totally the RS4 engine, on Youtube there is a video of Patreses crash at that race, when the car comes to a stop they zoom in and the bubble certainly appears to be there. Also, the RS4 was used in Qualifying in earlier races and the bubble is definitely there in those instances too. I ...

Re: 2022 F1 Team CARS presentation

I think that's the F1 show car with no decals, no one is using clevises and rod ends for front suspension mounts anymore, especially bolted to the front bulkhead like that!!

No wing adjustment, 3D printed mirrors!!!!

They're spinning us a yarn I feel!!!!

Re: For Sale or Trade

Another positive review for Derek, great prices on the kits IMO, great communication.

Packaging was awesome and the price on the USPS label was actually a bit more than he charged me so no shipping games being played here!!!

Top seller, Thanks again Derek!!

Re: Finally FW14B detail set

Thanks GT, great images, you made me revisit my videos and while the outer white angled edge is the same as the kit there is one point in the video that shows the square, flatter in the middle diffuser. Out with the saw and plastic card for me then!!!!! Would never have spotted that, and I don't thi...

Re: Finally FW14B detail set

The engine in the kit is a mess, a mess that has been addressed by Top Studio! The bodywork in the kit though is earlier season with high downforce wings. One area of difference is the diffuser and rear engine cover, the white angled portions at the back of the engine cover, where they meet the diff...

Re: Finally FW14B detail set

I've been researching this build for months now and from what I can see the main differences are just the engine, the Haynes manual tells what engine was in the cars at each race and they seemed to swap around. I wondered how TS would approach that area, seems they've taken the best option. Kit engi...

Re: Wolf Wr-1 DFV clutch connection?

Bill I've spent the last 20 years of my life either designing racecar transmissions or running a business dedicated to maintaining and servicing them, during that time I've rebuilt plenty of FG400 trans for vintage F1 cars, as well as more modern F1 boxes. Needless to say, I've installed more than m...
