Re: FIA ban on performance-related radio chatter

Jim Clark does resemble the old caterham nose a fair bit, so I can understand why you have it hanging up.

Re: FIA ban on performance-related radio chatter

This is the kind of ill thought out knee jerk rule that resulted in the ugly noses we have this year. The only reason we have this 'problem' is because the fia have started broadcasting the radio messages. Similar to the reason we have the ugly noses, the fia rules on nose heights. Johnny bravo neve...

Re: 2 Questions r.e. Tamiya 1/20 MP4/5B

Here is mine from a few years back also on AF. I painted the monocoque, pinned the front suspension, and used the PP detail sets. Happy with how it turned out, but made quite a few mistakes along the way that needed to be fixed. I have a new body that I am planning to repaint one day. http://www.aut...

Re: The Greats vs Vettel, Schumacher

I was just commenting on general misconceptions/double standards people have about the past vs today. 1. Like racing in the past was much closer, and that the cars were much closer in performance, so drivers from the past who won had it much tougher. It's not true, the races weren't often that close...

Re: The Greats vs Vettel, Schumacher

I think some people are a bit clouded about the past. The closest racing has clearly happened in the last 15 years. small sample 1956 british gp - Behra 3rd + 2 laps, Villoresi 6th +5 laps, Godia +7 laps 1966 british gp - hill 3rd +1lap, Mclaren 6th +2 laps, Taylor 8th +4 laps 1976 british gp - wats...

Re: Group Build Poll

If we want celebrate 15 years of f1m, we could make it any model released in the last 15 years. That way all periods are covered.

Re: No wonder Vettel has been so fast in the past few races.

I think Webber being locked out of future developments is the most likely. This is common in F1, especially if the item being tested will likely give a large advantage.
He is also off to Porsche and would likely fill them in on all the details. F1 teams are paranoid.

Out of interest, anybody happen to know the original sale price of those models.
