Re: Ferrari 412 T2 1:12 Museum collection
When I opened the box after some years again there was big surprise: the tires were melted to a big mass of silicone. Not that it matters much, but the tires are far more likely polyurethane. Our regular polyurethane resin parts are stable, but it many other applications (like foam) polyurethane fa...

Re: 2002 Arrows A23 rear suspension
Forum member Sean (via a PM) suggested this YouTube video, showing the previous year's Arrows: https://youtu.be/kBbGQBaVT4g?si=Qdy2iMx-94F3qT3F I made two screenshots, and indeed they show the track rod halfway between the upper and lower wishbones: https://robdebie.home.xs4all.nl/various/images/arr...

2002 Arrows A23 rear suspension
I just listened to a nice interview with Heinz-Harald Frentzen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efHj-0RP6UY&ab_channel=FORMULA1 From 1h02m to 1h09m he tells a very interesting story about suspensions. When he drove the 2001 Prost AP4, it had a problem at the front, that they / he could not figur...

I've got two long lists for you, from my old Alps decals webpage: Custom Alps decal companies: https://robdebie.home.xs4all.nl/models/decals.htm#custom Custom decal companies using other printers: https://robdebie.home.xs4all.nl/models/decals.htm#other These lists are maintained irregularly, so you ...

Re: Tamiya polish in body panel seams
I always had the same problems with Tamiya Polish, and stopped using it. I switched to Novus 1-2-3 system, and it does not have the problem.

New manufacturer: Wicked Model Cars
Last weekend I went to Euro Scale Modeling in Houten, The Netherlands. To my surprise a (relatively) new manufacturer was present: Wicked Model Cars. They have issued two 1/24 scale Hypercar models so far: Peugeot 9X8 Porsche 963 LMDh All parts are 3D printed, and looked great. Pricing is reasonable...

Re: Help with gloss paint
I have the same problem, there's just too much dust and dirt in the air. A few times I've seen a dust particle passing me by while spraying, heading for the model, as if it were a magnet, and landing on it :-( My solution so far is to sand away the particle using 12000 grit MicroMesh. That takes a b...
