Re: Favorite base color under carbon fiber decals?

I use (gloss) black as undercoat for Carbon decals. Works fine for me. Thats what I'm using now.Used to use semi gloss black but had issues with wrinkles. As most of us clear over the decals, having a gloss coat as an undercoat makes it adhere better and you won't notice the difference with the sem...

Re: PLASTIC Upcoming F1 Releases 2021

I feel there has been a shift towards diecast for some in the last decade or so, as well as a vast improvement in quality. For some the building process isn't fun, nor is the stress with knowing you may only have one chance with a part of the process while having spent way more on it. Being able to ...

Re: PLASTIC Upcoming F1 Releases 2021

Mercedes in England and Mercedes in Germany are different companies and will have different licensing deals as well, its not a blanket deal to make any Mercedes car. Prior to losing the Ferrari licensing deal, the SF70H was a rather inexpensive kit for example, and other modern F1 kits like the F60...

Re: Are 3D printing clubs the future?

That aside, even if we don't get a separate section for 3D printing, can we at least have one sticky somewhere? Maybe right here in scratchbuilding? That sticky (which would need to be maintained btw) should be where either the most common topics for 3D printing can be linked or they should be adde...

Re: Are 3D printing clubs the future?

It's up to Eric what to do anyway So you really have no clue!!! So why would you make a statement like this?? More than 4 :) Really helpful moderating going on there,,,,,, NOT!!! Removed because responding to anger with anger isn't beneficial to anyone. We should both tone it down in the future.

Re: Are 3D printing clubs the future?

It's up to Eric what to do anyway, I'm just putting my two cents in. It could get lots of use (I'm about to finish setting up my 3D printer this weekend so I understand its use) or it could be like the Lotus 79 Forum multiple people insisted they needed and then was barely used. I personally don't s...

Re: Are 3D printing clubs the future?

We've tried creating new sections in the past for different options and it doesn't get used much and just adds to the list of sub forums. Start creating threads and once it gets to be too much in that thread, then a section can be created.
