Re: MFH 1/12 July

Found the location on Apple Maps. It’s Marina Del Rey near Los Angeles. The original Shelby shop was in Venice very nearby. My guess it’s a sixties Cobra or Ford GT both of which were developed there. I grew up there and the photo looked familiar! Ahhh excellent work! I kept looking around the Long...

That's somewhere in California - most likely Los Angeles. The larger buildings have helipads. And the format of the helipad markings (a red circle with the number) showing the weight limit (in thousands of pounds) is the State of California's regulation.

Nice work! I've never done those cars because the decals intimidated me too much. Yours came out great. Really nice especially on that tricky Revell kit.
Call me crazy but I actually prefer the look of the '98 narrow track cars to the wide track cars of '97.

Re: PLASTIC Upcoming F1 Releases 2023

Beemax has announced a version for their 1/12 MP4/4 kit. It's the Monaco GP version and will be a "2 in 1" so it can built in Thursday and Sunday versions. The Thursday version has rain tires and the ultra high downforce rear wing with the extra beam wing. Looks like a Top Studio set is in...

Really impressive scratchbuilding! The symmetry is incredible. These kinds of scratchbuilds using another kit for a small base are some of my favorite.

Happy to see the BT52 getting rereleased! I missed it the first time around and the secondhand prices were nuts.

This is my favorite WIP on the forum. Glad to see it's still moving along. I agree with Daveyman, the color is great.

Re: PLASTIC Upcoming F1 Releases 2023

At least they are not producing models of the same car. The Lotus 79 from Hasegawa then Tamiya was not the best situation. Hasegawa might have released more F1 subjects if they did not have to compete with Tamiya with the same subjects at the same time. Releasing the same models at the same time wa...

Stevens Hobby, which is one of the main distributors in the US, has the Meng MP4/4 with an MSRP of $359.99. Meng does typically have a pretty high MSRP compared to actual sale price though. On average, the actual price you'll find at a lot of online shops is 25% lower than Meng's list. That'd put th...
