Re: PLASTIC Upcoming F1 Releases 2024

I dont think I have missed previous comments on this new announcement - but please ignore this post if I have. Is this a wind-up? According to Spotmodel Beemax are releasing .... ANOTHER 1/12 MCLAREN MP4/4 - and it is "comming (sic) soon". https://www.spotmodel.com/product_info.php?product...

Re: WEC 2024 season also started at Quatar

I switched over from F1 as well. I wish they did WEC races every weekend that F1 is racing - but if they did no one would ever watch F1!!! Varied looks. Proper liveries. Differing engines. Well known drivers. Differing strategies. The GT3 cars look better than GTLM cars too. I am coming round to tha...

Re: MFH for April 2024

Slightly disappointed! Rather unsuccessful car and coming on the heels of the 99t as well.

Was convinced this was going to be the BT49 and so I am rather sad.

Still good luck MFH - hope it sells well!

Re: MFH for April 2024

New illustration is up on the MFH website. I was convinced by the idea of the Camel Peugeot - but looking at the new design again I am reminded of the Porsche curves at Le Mans. Just a thought but the Renault A442 was very yellow.. Also Corvette GT-PRO cars raced in yellow. As I say, just a thought!!

Re: 1/12 Lotus 99t NUNU

At least some of you have actually received yours! My order at Hiroboy in the UK (dated/paid 1/6/23) still says "Awaiting Order" I also ordered/paid for the Add-On set from Spotmodel on 26/5/23 and that is still showing as "Pre-order now"... The supply of the full kit is still no...

Lovely presentation of a great looking car!

I am impressed with your photographs as well! Do you use a photo booth/light box of some sort?

Re: bernie f1 show ...lucky

Yes - I watched it a couple of months ago. Produced by Manish Pandy (who did Senna - and amongst other things - is one of the 5 people who do the "Collecting Addicts" podcast in the UK each week with Chris Harris from Top Gear). Manish says Bernie wanted to do it as he has a very young son...

Re: Villeneuve and Pironi Documentary

I watched it and was pleased to see how Didier's son is now working at Mercedes F1. A nice counterpoint to the great success of Jacques Villeneuve in the 1990s. The crash footage of Gilles' accident was horrible. The way that the 126C2 broke in half so easily (in both the Zolder and the Hockenheim a...

Re: Paint Cracking - M@r!b*r* Fluorescent Red

With a heavy heart, I spent several hours on my M26 yesterday removing all my masking (so lovingly applied in the first place) and then attacked the worst affected components with Zero Paint Stripper. (It was really effective I must say! It even melted my rubber gloves...) I will prime the Mac a sec...
