Re: Lotus 56 turbine car - MPC 1/25

A very good build. Like it a lot. Where did you get the white decal on the tank at the rear? I don't recall seeing it on my S27 sheet. Hi Orso, Since Rodnico hasn't replied to your question yet, he might have used the Indycals decals for this car, as it includes that tank marking. 8) https://www.in...

Re: Thunder Valley still in business?

Great to hear from you, Mac. I am wondering if you still have AZMP-M23-1201 available. It's the correct air box for Peter Revson 1973 Yardley McLaren. Just thought I'd share that I had got that same airbox from Mac a year or two (or so) ago, as I also someday hope to build Revson's British GP winne...

Re: Monaco 1971 Ickx (Protar) and Andretti (Tamiya)

Magnificent job, Ron! And the photos you shared are fantastic, especially for any of us contemplating building either of those kits. And I especially appreciate the info about using the JPS Lotus tires to replace the kit ones. I've long thought to use the Tamiya 312B to do Andretti's South African w...

Re: PLASTIC Upcoming F1 Releases 2023

Ahh, thanks, so the release date for that will be a week after I complete my started ACE Models 006 then................. :D At least you are smarter than me. I sold my unbuilt ACE Models Tyrrell 006 kit over a year ago, thinking I was OK to get rid of it because I was so CONFIDENT that Ebbro would...

Another option could be Immense Miniatures. They have a 1/20 standing Jim Clark figure with separate head and helmets that could be used with their separately available "Reclining 60s GP driver figure". http://www.immenseminiatures.com/Immense_Miniatures/Larger_Scale_Figures.html Note the ...

Re: 3d Printing: Porsche 917/10 in 1/12 scale

Here are some pictures of the Mezzo Models 1/24th 917/10 sitting on Fujimi 917K wheels. This would be a great model for some Litho but I have to figure out the rivet pattern first. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/new-model-kit-thread.180496/page-167#post-148042797 Darn, I'm seeing "I...

Re: 1/12 Lotus 49 - What solutions have people used for the over-sized DFV?

If memory serves wasn’t there a publication that was advertised on the forum a while back that gave details of the plumbing and wiring of DFV’s and how these changed as the DFV was developed during its competitive years; would there be any useful information in that? Hacksaw Yes, Stephen Miller (&q...

Re: 1/12 Lotus 49 - What solutions have people used for the over-sized DFV?

BTW, anyone that has built or has any interest in 1/12 F1 models (long before MFH) should take a look at Mark Oakley's models at his website ( http://www.mrof1engineering.co.uk/?page_id=22 ). Very impressive and many of his builds are ones I would have loved to do myself, especially the McLaren M19 ...
