Re: What would you do?

What about: 1. Drill a hole in the floor board in front of the seat 2. Run a wire/paper clip with super glue on it through the hole and apply to seat belt. 3. Run a different wire/paper clip with some accelerant on it through the hole and pressing down on the seat belt. 4. Fill and paint the hole i...

What would you do?

I used Eduard seat harness set, which is pre-painted photo etched, and the metal was quite stiff and now one of the harness straps, on both seats, has pinged up and even pulled some of the black paint away from the seat. I had to add a lot of superglue between the bodyshell and chassis as it was a p...

Scale Modelworld 2020 Cancelled!

Widely regarded as the world's biggest model show (and the absolute highlight of my year!) SMW 2020 has sadly had to be cancelled due to Covid.

It was, as usual, to be held in Telford, England on 7th & 8th November.

So disappointing!

Silver as a primer over red?

I've read many times that the colour of plastic styrene can bleed through the top coat of paint, although it has never happened to any of my builds. However, I am about to paint a red plastic car bodyshell white, so I was thinking of using some (leftover) Tamiya Mica silver as the primer. Do you thi...

Re: Problem with HLJ website ?

Hello everybody. Since sunday, it's impossible for me to log at my HLJ account. It's also impossible to reset the password. Is anybody experienced an issue with HLJ? Eric I have not had a problem, but, to ask another question about HLJ, (which I have been meaning to do for a while) I have felt for ...

Re: 1/12 Tamiya Williams FW14B

This is in my stash, along with the 2 Top Studio goodies, but I am a fair number of years away from building it. I think Top Studio will release an engine/chassis upgrade set at some point. I am sure it is going to be costly, but worth it to produce a great replica. Good luck with the build.

Re: Customs Charges!!!!

Hi Seamus, I recently had a customs charge on goods bought from overseas (a couple of kits from Japan). Despite it being less than £20 I resented the 'handling' charge' and 'effectively' told the PO to get stuffed, send the items back (at their own expense!) and I will get the refund for the goods, ...
