It reminds me of a dodgem/ bumper car too! Puts a smile on one's face. (I wonder if car model paints and glues worked effectively on that kind of plastic.) I'm gonna guess the steering wheel is from a Tamiya Ferrari..?

Yes, looking good! I like the added fuel and brake lines, and your metal colour choices. Here in Japan: People often use mono-filament fishing line (which comes in a variety of gauges/ thicknesses) for fuel lines. It can be painted, and looks pretty realistic.
