That looks spectacular. I hope when I get around to building mine it looks as nice. Really nice work.

Re: Soldering PE to white metal
The other thing to consider is "tinning" the steel (or brass) piece prior to trying to solder it to the white metal. For this you use a slightly high temp solder than you do for the white metal (extremely low temp solder) and lay down a thing layer of solder onto the steel, then use the st...

Re: Preparing white metal question
I am definitely in the camp of looking for a way to get a magnetic tumbler. It is a huge time and frustration saver with white metal parts. While larger scale kits with WM are able to be prepped pretty easily, if you are in the 1/43 world, it is game changing.

Clearcoat on tires
I am doing some builds using resin tires, painted with Tamiya LP Tire Rubber color paint. After decals, would you spray using flat or semi-gloss? Thanks.

Re: 1/43rd scale Upcoming New Releases
I remember the good old day when between Tameo and Meri, the entire current year field would be produced. Really wish someone would work up a modern 1/43 F1 car with modern techniques like Tameo is doing on the revamped older kits. Even BBR was doing a built and a kit version for awhile but then mov...

One thing to consider regarding ordering from Salvinos is that they have a real presence in the modelling community already with an established distribution network in place. i consider the risk extremely low and glad someone is investing in the modern Indycars.

Re: F1M.com Post: bonbon scale model
Just checked out the 1st video. Very nice. Really liked the work in the seatbelt. Also liked the clean-up techniques demonstrated. Being a 1/43 builder I really appreciate seeing how others use their tools. What was the specific drill type tool you used to spin the tires, steering wheel, etc.?

Re: Look for Meng McLaren MP4/4 in the wild
Thank you for sharing the pics. Mine is supposed to arrive on Friday. At this point all I want is to get the instruction manual to dissect how I am going to enhance the build. I already ordered the Top Studio brake kit for the MP4/6 in hopes I can use the hubs for the Meng kit as well.
