Re: F1 car with a crooked decal?

Is that really crooked. It seems to be deliberate since both cars are the same on both right an left sides. It appeared already at the Holland GP. It's interesting as, earlier in the season they were nice and straight verticaly but late season: not so much. But the original question by Eric begs a ...

Re: F1 car with a crooked decal?

Does the crooked yellow stripe on the P34s in Japan 1976 count? All this time i've been unhappy with the stripe on my kit not being perfectly vertical and i'm just now seeing that the real cars stripes weren't squared off either.

Re: F1 car with a crooked decal?

I would think someone would be kicked off a team for carelessly putting a sponsor on the car. The only thing that comes to my mind is the sloppy "GILLES" that Ferrari put on Gilles' T2 at the end of '77.

Re: Tyre stencil help

Y'know, I did think of that but didn't want the film to show. I may still try it to see how it looks. One problem I am noticing is that the Lotus 78 had really small front tyres. No, there's a great picture at the front of either 1978s or 1979s Autocourse that the stencil was outside the raised letters but I can't even get my stencil lined up properly. Damn thing is either too high or too low, anything but centered.

Tyre stencil help

I keep trying these PE Goodyear stencils but A. Can never get them lined up properly and B. Can't get a solid result on the bulbous rear tyres of the 70s. Unfortunatley, Tamiya did a lot of reissues with Goodyears blessing so the tyres don't have the raised lettering that I would normally fill in wi...

Re: MULTIMEDIA Upcoming F1 Releases 2022

Its been a while since I looked at my MP4/3 "trans kit", but looking at the parts picture of the B version, it seems like the only donor parts are the tyres.
