Re: What is your latest model purchase
Hi!
Great find!
Here is a few pictures of my own glue bomb that I've restored a few years ago.
It was a very satisfiying experience to bring back this old kit to a decent standard.
I've kept this model from my teenage years, could not bring myself to throw it away.
Good luck with your project!

Re: F1 Silly Season: Winter Edition (or, What if Hamilton Retires?)
I don't see Hamilton retire yet. Numbers are aligning themselves to nicely! 2022: 2 X 2 X 2 = 8 44 : 4 + 4 = 8 LH needs that 8th title. Just kidding! More seriously, I'm sure that everyone at Mercedes are really motivated to teach a lesson to RB. These guys are really competitive and the way the las...

Re: Tamiya and semigloss range
Hi (Bonsoir) Recommended ratio for flat base additive is 10% to 15% for semi gloss, 30 % for flat finish. More than that will be unnecessary. Mix well the added flat base to avoid white spots on your painted surface. Using XF-86 is also a good alternative. It is basically the equivalent of Tamiya cl...

Re: Tamiya Ferrari 312T4
Hi Rick. The T4 being my favorite subject, I guess I could help you with some of your questions. First, the Spotter's guide that I wrote with Jeep would probably need an update since my quest to solve the many variations of this car has brought more info and pictures. The Tamiya kit is actually an I...

Re: MFH Ferrari 126 CK 1/12
Hi Great result on quite a challenging kit! Let me show you how I solved the cowling issue: CKmagnet.jpg I've replace the two metal pins from the kit by two similar lengths of piano wire glued with epoxy. Added two small magnets to the side panels and everything seems to hold quite OK. The ferrous c...

Re: 1982 BT50 Canadian GP 1/20 Tamiya
Hi
The car had the front wing in Canada.
One key difference with the Tamiya kit is the air intake for the turbo.
The kit depicts an early season version (square shape), later modification shows a long recessed shape that leads to a angled air intake.
Cheers!

Re: Tremonia PE 312T4
HI Well, some good and some bad. It is not that expensive and the material used is nice looking (even if it is stainless steel, not aluminium) but, overall fit is not that great. Had to spend a considerable amount of time shaving off some of the underlying plastic surfaces to get the parts to fit. M...

Re: 39 years ago today! (312T3 Guide)
Hi everyone Glad that you enjoyed our latest chapter. To answer Bossy 122 question, the Tamiya kit is definetely a British GP Reutemann car. t3kits.jpg T3kit2.jpg Other well know kit is the Protar in 1/12 scale, early season configuration that could be turned into a Long Beach version with a few twe...
