This technology is from an era I can replicate in scale. Plus there's just not that much there to detail. So one can possibly finish it, even when built to extreme levels. The back of a couple of gauges, little hose clamps, tube frames with simple wire harnesses/brake lines, and no pesky wire wheels...

I had the NART slot car in 1/24. My parents owned a big, beautiful slot car center, just as the Cox Ford GT and Classic Manta Ray came out. I was forced to hang out there everyday after school. I worked on my cars more than my homework....

I bought the 1/20th last month, but just had to get this in 1/12th after seeing your build. It's such a pretty shape and it's so colorful. I bought 4 of these 1/64 cage-house buildings. They were famous in Kowloon area of HK. Used to be a large amount of these quality building kits, but they're about 95% gone. I just discovered them. Well this is so inspiring, I bought the 1/20 version from MFH and 2 days later it was in my hands. My gosh Kyoko....from Tokyo to Wyoming in 2 days! Some girl in a pickup, brought it to my door. I had to settle for the Penske version, so I must paint the Yardley stripes. So the models in both scales...
