Re: STP Turbine '68 Indy 500 Double Build

The added details really show how much the look of the model has been improved when place next to the other car.

Re: FIA rules for 1991

So, after some digging, this is the story. Wikipedia is correct on both occasions. Here's the text from Wikipedia. Therefore, from 1981 until 1992, Goodyear supplied white sidewall marked Eagle tyres with the sizes of 25.0"x10.0"-13" in the front and 26.0"x15.0"-13" in ...

Re: FIA rules for 1991

According to Wikipedia, tires for 1981 to 1992 has the same size.

Front - 25.0" x 10.0" - 13"
Rear - 26.0" x 15.0" - 13"

I measured a 1990 Larrousse and Jordan 191, both kits front tires are close to that specification.

So far so good. The body looks great with the paint and decals.

Looking forward to see the finished model!

Re: McLaren MCL35M 2021

Hi Thomas, It is a surprise that I cannot find shots of the bottom at all. I find a video of 1 2020 MCL35 model that shows the bottom. I think the delta between 2020 and 2021 in the step bottom should not be big. You can use this as a reference. MCL35-bottom.jpg This is a drawing from Giorgio Piola ...

Re: McLaren MCL35M 2021

Hi Thomas, I thought there may be some photos of Norris's car hoist in Spa. Unfortunately, I can't find any. The indentation on the top side of the tray is the exact shape of the step from beneath. You can see the front portion. The forward portion is the same wide as the plank (300 mm wide). It run...

Re: McLaren MCL35M 2021

Hi Thomas,

Your new design looks good. I can only find two photos that show the top of the floor but they give you an idea how the step bottom looks.

Re: McLaren MCL35M 2021

Hi Thomas, FIA specification for the step bottom is minimum 150mm and maximum 500 mm from center plane between area lies 430 mm behind the front axial and the rear axial. The shape of the step bottom is free teams to design but has to be symmetrical about the center plane. This is a prominent featur...
