Re: Favorite base color under carbon fiber decals?

Definitely black. Given their propensity to crack you want to hide it as much as possible.

To say this is stunning would be putting it mildly. There are no words. Fantastic build.

Re: unobtainium digital

I buy a lot of stuff internationally - with many orders going well into four figures, and I've never had to pay customs/import taxes here in the US.

Re: Obituary...

Sadly I didn't really know him or see his work. He was an occasional customer so I recognized the name, but it sounds like I really missed out on not knowing him or his work.

Re: STP Turbine '68 Indy 500 Double Build

I know you bought my resin tires but for those following this build, and thinking of doing one, those kit tires are some of the worst I've ever used. You definitely want to go with my resin tires if you are doing this car or thinking of doing it. The kit tires are Goodyears and the car ran Firestone...

Re: Get in touch with US Postal Service?!

The lack of tracking is normal. Unless it was sent priority mail (very expensive), what you got was not a tracking number, it was a customs number. The package only tracks while it is within the US. As soon as it leaves the US tracking stops and your only course of action is to contact your customs ...

I also believe - but have not confirmed this -that the Lotus logo was fluorescent. I'm only about 50% sure and my threshold for overriding an accepted 'norm' is 99%.

Re: STP Turbine '68 Indy 500 Double Build

Please note: only the left front tire was yellow! Ah excellent, I did not know this! Thanks to you and the others for validating this as well. James, it was my pleasure to send you that kit and I hope we meet next time I am in Spain. It's an absolutely gorgeous country and we loved every moment of ...
